Privacy
This is a small site for a small company, and we ask for as little as we can.
The enquiry form asks for your name and an email address, and gives you the option of a phone number, which island the property is on, when you're leaving, and anything you'd like us to know before we visit. That message is emailed to the two of us and goes nowhere else. We don't sell it, we don't share it, and we won't add you to a mailing list — there isn't one.
We keep enquiries in our email while we're talking, and afterwards for as long as it's useful to remember the conversation. If you go on to become a client, what we hold about your house is covered separately in your service agreement.
The site is hosted by Vercel and the form is sent by Resend; both handle the message on our behalf in the course of delivering it. We use Vercel's analytics to count visits to a page — it sets no cookies and doesn't follow you anywhere else, so we can see that a page was read but not who read it. Nothing on this site advertises to you or tracks you afterwards.
British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act applies to us, which means you're entitled to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
Write to hello@overseacare.ca and we'll do it — a reply within a week, and deleted within thirty days. If we ever change how any of this works, we'll change this page.
